How to join the KnowledgeMC Minecraft server
KnowledgeMC is a free survival SMP for Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. Java and Bedrock players share the same world.
Java Edition: smp.knowledgemc.net
Bedrock Edition: smp.knowledgemc.net · port 19132
On Java Edition you can also type just knowledgemc.net — an SRV record sends it to the right port.
Step by step
- Open Minecraft and go to Multiplayer. Launch Minecraft. On Java Edition choose Multiplayer from the main menu. On Bedrock Edition choose Play, then the Servers tab.
- Add a new server. Choose Add Server on Java Edition, or Add Server at the bottom of the Servers list on Bedrock Edition.
- Enter the KnowledgeMC address. Name it KnowledgeMC. On Java Edition enter smp.knowledgemc.net as the server address. On Bedrock Edition enter smp.knowledgemc.net as the address and 19132 as the port.
- Save and join. Save the server, then select it and press Join Server. You will spawn at the KnowledgeMC spawn island and can start playing straight away.
Joining on console and mobile
Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS all run Minecraft Bedrock Edition, so they use the Bedrock address and port above. KnowledgeMC runs Geyser and Floodgate, which means Bedrock players join the same survival world as Java players and do not need a Java account.
If you cannot connect
Check the live server status page first — it pings the server directly. The server rests on weekday mornings in the US Pacific timezone and comes back in the afternoon, so a weekday-morning timeout usually just means it is asleep. Also make sure you used port 19132 on Bedrock Edition; leaving the default port in place is the most common mistake.
